Homemade French Fries

French Fries, a popular side with many meals – be it a Hamburger (like a Turkey Jalapeno Burger) or a steak. Here’s a healthier way to have French Fries, make them from scratch from home and have considerably less fat and salt content. Scale this recipe up as necessary for more than 1 person. You can also use this recipe with sweet potatoes/yams to make sweet potato fries.

Prep time: 5 mins  I  Cook time: 30-40 mins I Total time:  35-45 mins  I Makes 1 serving

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 medium-sized potato
  • 2 tsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Optional, for a spicy version:

  • 1 tsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch of oregano, onion powder, and chili powder
